Mrs. Dawes, Lucy, William & I went to Marietta.  In the afternoon Sarah & I called at Mr. Gates’, Miss Mary Cones’, & Judge Nyes.  Read Rufus' “Battle of Antietam” very interesting.  Mrs. Buell & Mrs. Lucy Browning called.
