Col. & Mrs. Dawes went home on the morning train. Mrs. S. C. Dawes will remain a few days, hoping to improve her health by quiet & country air. Mrs. Cutler and Sarah came home from Cincinnati. Mrs. Burgess spent the day here. I received a letter from Kate.
