William left home this morning in his carriage with two horses to attend political meetings with Plantz. He will go first to Plymouth, then this evening to Barlow, and then to Watertown.
The cannons have been firing at Parkersburg in honor I suppose of Sherman’s & Farragut’s victories.
I was busy all day putting the garret in order.
